When you think of Easter, one of the thoughts that spring to mind will undoubtedly be chocolate. After all, how could you miss all the chocolate brand advertising and displays of Easter eggs and chocolate bunnies right, left and centre?

But you know what would be better than indulging in plain chocolate? Chocolate and alcohol in an Easter drink. Well, we know just the boozy chocolate Easter cocktail recipes to get your mouth salivating.

Here’s to a boozy Easter holiday filled with chocolate cocktails to swoon over.

Bailey’s Hot Choc Easter Cocktail

A treat that comes as a courtesy by Jonathan Wright of @BWS_Mixalot, this Bailey’s Hot Chocolate Easter cocktail is one you won’t want to miss.

What you’ll need:

  • 60ml Baileys Irish Cream
  • Milk mixed with your favourite hot choc powder
  • Chocolate syrup
  • Whipped cream
  • Maltesers (optional)

Rim your mug with chocolate syrup followed by some crushed Maltesers. The easiest way to do so is to prepare the chocolate syrup on a plate and dip your mug upside down so the rim touches the chocolate syrup and do the same with the Maltesers.

Using milk and chocolate powder, make a hot chocolate just the way you like it and stir in the Baileys Irish Cream.

Top the mug with some whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate syrup. If you’re feeling creative, why not explore different flavours such as hazelnut or coffee that taste amazing too.

Dust your drink with some cocoa powder and garnish more with crushed Maltesers and enjoy.

Chocolate Caramel Easter Egg Cocktail

Get into the golden fun side of Easter with this cocktail that combines chocolate and caramel with alcohol.

What you’ll need:

  • 50 grams melted chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons Baileys Caramel
  • 3 tablespoons crème de cacao
  • 1 tablespoon butterscotch schnapps
  • 1 mini crème egg

Twirl the melted chocolate around a cocktail glass by pouring it in the glass and then slowly turning it as you work your way from bottom to top. Place the glass in the fridge to cool for 5 minutes.

Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice. Shake well and strain it into the prepared glass and drop a chocolate mini crème egg into the drink to complete.
